Chris Rea è un grande autore ed un ottimo chitarrista, anche se spesso è sottovalutato rispetto altri interpreti. Nel 1988 scrisse "Driving Home For Christmas", che raggiunse la posizione n°53 della Uk Chart, per poi rientrarvi nuovamente nel 2007 arrivando al n°33.
