Chris Rea

Christopher Anton Rea, è nato a Middlesbrough (UK) il 4 Marzo del 1951, da padre italiano e madre irlandese.
La sua carriera comincia intorno al 1970, ma il grande successo arrivò nel 1985, grazie alla canzone "Josephine" contenuta nell' album "Shamrock Diaries".
Nel 1986 è ancora in testa alle classifiche con l' album "On the Beach", poi nel 1989 il disco "The road to the Hell" lo farà conoscere come chitarrista, lasciando sempre più la musica pop a favore del rock blues, arrivando nel 1991 ad "Auberge".
Gli anni '90 lo vedono sempre al lavoro, tra concerti e dischi di buona fattura, partecipando anche al disco solista di Billy Wyman e dei suo Rhithm Kings.
Nel 2000 Chris si ammalò al pancreas e lì decise che se fosse guarito, sarebbe tornato a suonare la sua grande passione, il blues, e così è stato!
Tuttora in attività, Chris ha una bella voce roca, ha un' ottima tecnica chitarristica, in particolare con l' uso dello slide.
