Queen

I Queen, sono una delle band più importanti e amate della scena rock. Si formarono tra il 1970 ed il 1971 con la seguente formazione : Freddie Mercury ( vero nome Farrokh Bulsara) voce e pianoforte, Brian May(chitarra e voce), Roger Taylor(batteria e voce), John Deacon (basso e voce). I Queen, hanno suonato diversi stili di musica, dal rock al blues, dalla dance a citazioni metal, passando al folk e al country con un' impressionante facilità , dimostrando di essere una delle band più dotate musicalmente. Mercury è stato il leader indiscusso deli Queen, grazie ad una grande presenza scenica e alla sua possente voce, che gli permetteva un' estensione di 3 ottave senza l' uso del falsetto. Purtroppo, nel 1991 Freddy muore a causa dell' AIDS, ma la sua stella non ha mai smesso di brillare e, ancora oggi, è uno dei cantanti più amati. I Queen, alla sua morte, organizzarono un grande concerto tributo, il "Freddy Mercury Tribute" svoltosi a Wembley con molte partecipazioni, tra le quali David Bowie, George Michael, Elton John, Robert Plant, Metallica, Def Leppard, Liza Minnelli, ed altri ancora. Dopo la morte di Mercury, Deacon lasciò i Queen, così i rimasti May e Taylor lavorarono per un ritorno, scegliendo come cantante Paul Rodgers ( ex Free). Si concretizzò un tour nel 2005 che li vide in Europa e USA con il nome di "Queen e Paul Rodegers", che si rivelò un vero trionfo, da cui è stato tratto il cd "Return of Champions".

David Bowie

David Robert Jones (8 Gennaio 1947), in arte David Bowie, è un cantante musicista molto eclettico, che è stato precursore di vari generi musicali, tra i quali il "Glam Rock". Artista geniale, ha saputo cambiare stile in base alle nuove mode ma, le cose migliori, le ricordiamo dagli anni '70 agli '80. Negli anni '70, tra travestimenti ed ambiguità, si crearono varie storie sul suo conto, narrate per altro anche da artisti come i Rolling Stones, che dedicarono la canzone "Angie" all' allora moglie di Bowie (Angela), che assomigliava molto per il look al proprio marito. Il primo grande successo risale al 1969, con "Space Oddity, ma la consacrazione al rock arriverà con "Hunky Dory "del 1971 ed il monumentale "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars " del 1972 ( dal cui venne creato un film dall' omonimo titolo dove si vede David in concerto e nel back stage). Di Bowie si ricordano storici duetti con Tina Turner, Mick Jagger, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed e Freddy Mercury. Una curiosità su Bowie sono gli occhi, la cui diversità delle pupille è dovuta ad un colpo, ricevuto durante una rissa, in giovane età. Il Duca bianco, è sposato con la modella Iman Abdulmajid, che sposò a Firenze nel 1992.

Bowie, ha dimostrato nel tempo di essere un artista completo, cimentandosi con buon successo nel cinema, dove ha avuto varie parti sia come protagonista , sia in diverse apparizioni. Chi volesse vederlo in alcuni dei film più noti, consiglio i seguenti titoli:
