Ritorno alla grande dei Rolling Stones con Doom and gloom

Siete sicuri che i Rolling Stones vogliono abdicare? 
Credete siano vecchi per il rock? 
Se volete delle risposte ascoltate il nuovo brano intitolato "Doom and Gloom", che verrà pubblicato nel nuovo album intitolato "Grrr!".
Si tratta di un bel rock in puro stile Rolling Stones, dove Mick Jagger canta alla stragrande, Keith graffia con i suoi riff supportato dall' ottimo Ron Wood, mentre Charlie suona come ai tempi migliori!

Due anni fa scompariva Solomon Burke

Era il 10 ottobre del 2010 quando, all' aeroporto Schiphol di Amsterdam, moriva il Re del Rock'n'Soul Solomon Burke, a seguito di un malore occorso durante il viaggio proveniente da Los Angeles.
Era nato a Filadelfia (USA) il 21 marzo 1940 ed è stato un reverendo cantante e compositore di brani indimenticabili, come Everybody Needs Somebody to Love.
La sua carriera cominciò in radio come speaker di un programma di musica Gospel, ma fu il suo passaggio alla Atlantic Records a portarlo alla notorietà mondiale.
I Rolling Stones, Wilson Pickett ed i Blues Brothers riportarono negli anni al successo il suo brano, connubio perfetto di unione del Blues ed il Soul con ritmi rock.

Auguri a David Lee Roth

David Lee Roth è nato a Bloomington (USA) il 10 ottobre 1954 ed è un cantante, compositore, dotato di ottima voce e grande carisma, che negli anni ha militato nei Van Halen e con una discreta carriera solista. Quando si unì alla band dei Van Halen la miscela fu esplosiva: il suo modo di fare guascone e ribelle, la sua voce ben modulata e con quel timbro riconoscibilissimo capace di passare dal pop all' hard rock senza problemi, furono con la chitarra di Eddie qualcosa di sensazionale.
La grinta sprigionata in brani come la cover di You Really got me, facevano da respiro agli straordinari assoli di Van Halen, conquistando anche il pubblico non amante del rock.
Quando uscì Jump nel 1984, il brano veniva ascoltato anche nelle discoteche ed il mondo sembrava ai loro piedi.
Diverbi con Eddie lo allontanarono dalla band, con qualche successo nel mondo nel pop con brani irriverenti come Just a Gigolo e California Girls.
Eppure certi suoi dischi solisti sono stati di ottima fattura, come quando formò la band con Steve Vai e Billy Sheehan per l' ottimo Eat'Em and Smile.
Dopo un certo periodo David iniziò a fare lavori mediocri, ma nel 2007 tornò nei Van Halen, dimostrando ancora tutta la sua forza!
